Abstract

Artificial Intelligence in psychology employs machine learning algorithms in aiding humans in analyzing and understanding the complicated reality of the mind and the mental illnesses that would affect it. Compared to using traditional methods of diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses such as Schizophrenia, trained Artificial Intelligence would be able to operate much quicker and more efficiently with almost equally reliable output. Schizophrenia is a chronic mental disorder which affects the mind of the patient and causes distorted experience of reality and impaired behavior and detachment from sociality which significantly disable the patient’s ability to function in society. By utilizing Machine Learning methods in healthcare technology and using it in analyzing the components and basis of Schizophrenia, it would be possible for the technology to aid psychologists in aiding Schizophrenic patients through faster and more accurate diagnosis, and more efficient treatment methods. Such ideas may be carried out in the hopes of aiding the patients suffering from Schizophrenia and in the future, other mental disorders.
