SPECIFIC HEAT OF A CLASSICAL MONATOMIC IMPERFECT GAS TRAPPED IN THE SUTHERLAND POTENTIAL

An imperfect monatomic gas of volume and temperature is trapped in the Sutherland potential. In this communication, we study the thermodynamic properties, in particular, the specific heat at constant volume of this imperfect gas in the classical approximation at least qualitatively and present our results.
