ESTIMATION OF STAR FORMATION RATES IN SPIRAL GALAXIES USING OPTICAL AND NEAR INFRARED OBSERVATION
Abstract
In present work we have analyzed 35 SDSS spectrum of galaxies optical and near infrared (NIR) photometric and spectroscopic analysis of the interacting pair of galaxies. Surface brightnesses and colors were calculated for regions such as galaxy centers, bridges, filaments and optical knots. We corrected these spectrum for redshiftad continuum. The flux of Hα lines in most of these galaxies is in the range of 10-12 to 10-13 erg/s/cm2 and the Luminosity is found to be ҃ s1040 erg/s.
