Abstract

In this modern world, not only science and information technology has developed, but also people are suffering from various physical and psychological stress and strains. Sometime we are unable to control them, but the exploration of the ways to face them is always in our hand and to end this yoga is a good tool. To achieve the physical, mental and spiritual harmony is one of the aims of yoga. Yoga creates not only the awareness but also the understanding of yourself, which leads to self transformation. By performing yoga scientifically one can purify their mind and body; sustains perfect balance and harmony between them. Meditation and physical exercise are also the form of yoga. Busy in personal life is the obstacles to correct the way of breath. Yoga is the system of good living and for the benefit of the body. The body of human being can be healthy by yoga without any trainer and medicine. Patanjali’s yoga has eight stages, which have to be well cultivated and realized. Of these, some are external and internal. By practicing yoga one can control the unsteady mind. Yoga promotes a healthy lifestyle includes healthy eating, exercise and better ways of communicating and interacting in the society. We can get all these positive results by practicing yoga. Yoga manages the risk of many diseases which comes from our daily life. Here, it is an endeavor to analyze the importance of Yoga to encourage the reader for practicing Yoga in modern life to maintain physical, social and spiritual health.   Yoga can develop the power of the mind and its subtle understanding. Thus, the purpose of my paper is to analyze the role and importance of Yoga in Modern times as well as its effect on human beings in this present era.
