Abstract

Mukhpaka in children is most common disease of oral cavity. It is considered as the most prevalent disease worldwide characterized by redness, ulceration with burning sensation in oral cavity. It occurs due to Vit B12 deficiency, folate deficiency, leukemia, inflammatory bowel disease, stress, illness, dietary triggers & nutritional deficiency. Mukhapaka is found in those with poor oral hygiene. Stomatitis occurs anywhere in the mouth, including the inside of the cheeks, gums, tongue, lips and palate. The symptoms range from presence of Mouth Ulcers, Redness and Erosion of Buccal Mucosa, Burning Sensation of Oral Mucosa, Difficulty in Chewing Pungent & Hot Things and or Enlargement of Sublingual & Submandibular Lymph nodes.
