ROLE OF DINCHARYA IN THE MANAGEMENT OF LIFESTYLE DISORDERS

Ayurveda is the science which mentioned various principles for prevention and treatment of disease. In today's life style the daily routine of each individual has become so busy and hectic that many of the life style disorders have taken the form of epidemic in current era. According to WHO sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy dietary habits and exposure to pollution are the triggering factor for most of the lifestyle disorders.which will cause over three quarter of all death in 2030. The incidence of lifestyle disease like Diabetes mellitus, Obesity, Hypertension, Cardiovascular disease is high on the rise.The World Health Organization estimates that these lifestyle diseases are responsible for 80% of all deaths worldwide. They are the leading cause of death in the developed world, and the numbers are increasing Poor lifestyle choices are the main reason for these lifestyle illnesses which in turn result in the majority of these deaths. Medicines are not always necessary to control Diabetes and Obesity but emphasis should also given to non pharmacological management. Dincharya have beneficial physiological effects on proper functioning of the body thereby maintaining a state of equilibrium of Tridosha, Saptadhatu,Trimala and agni along with pleasant aatma, man and indriya which in turn helps to attain positive health.
