EFFECT OF ZOOPLANKTON MOINA MACROCOPA (STRAUS, 1820) AND CHLORELLA FEEDING ON GROWTH OF POST LARVAE OF FRESHWATER PRAWNS MACROBRACHIUM KISTNENSIS (TIWARI, 1952)
Keywords:
Macrobrachium kistnensis, Moina macrocopa and length gain and weight gainAbstract
The growth responses (gain in length and weight) of post larvae of Macrobrachium kistnensis fed on Moina macrocopa, Chlorella separately and combination of Moina macrocopa and Chlorella were evaluated. Highest growth rate (gain in length and weight) of post larvae of Macrobrachium kistnensis was observed in group fourth, the average length increased by 0.7 cm and weight by 0.680 gm after 15 days. The length increased by 1.76 cm and weight by 1.380 gm after 30 days.
