Abstract

 Asthma attacks all age group bur often starts in childhood. It is  disease characterized by recurrent attacks of breathlessness and wheezing, which vary inseverity and frequency from person to person. In an individual, they may occur from hour to hour and day to day. This condition is due to inflammation of the air passages in the lungs and affects the sensitivity of the nerve endings in the airways so they become easily irritated. In an attack,the lining of the passages well causing the airways to narrows and reducing the flow of air in out of the lungs. Reason neuroimaging studies suggested that neurophysiologic and psychological approaches used as an effective treatment of asthma. So asthma can be managed by giving breathing exercises. Presently diseases management  include pharmacological therapy initially therapy is helpful in management but later on increase in finacical burden non pharmacological therapy include breathing exercise. Asthma  education is avital component in disease control and self-management. Objectives: To assess the knowledge regarding breathing exercise among asthmatic patient. To associate the level of knowledge level of breathing exercise with selected demographic variable. To develop the health teaching on breathing exercise. Using and learning proper breathing technique in one of the most benefits that can be done for both short and long term physical and emotional health.  Methods : Quantitative Research approach and Quasi Non – Experimental Descriptive Research Design was used to collect data among 50 samples using Non-probability convenient sampling technique. conclusion:  The results that among 50 people, about 86%(43) adequate knowledge regarding asthma and above 14%(7) moderate knowledge.
